Who We Are

Purpose in the Pain is a Christian ministry that creates Christ-centered spaces where women can encounter Jesus in the midst of their story.

  • We GUIDE women through healing-centered cohort experiences rooted in biblical truth and community.

  • We EQUIP church & ministry leaders to facilitate meaningful, trauma-informed, Christ-centered conversations with wisdom and care.

  • We ENCOURAGE women to deepen their relationship with Christ and anchor their identity in who He says they are - beloved daughters.

At the center of this work is a simple belief: Jesus is the purpose.

Genesis 16:13 records Hagar's response after encountering God in one of the most painful and isolating moments of her life: "You are the God who sees me." Like Hagar, many women carry stories marked by questions, wounds, and uncertainty. Purpose in the Pain exists to help women encounter the God who sees them, knows them, and faithfully walks with them—reminding them that they are fully seen, fully known, and deeply loved by Him.

HOW WE WALK WITH WOMEN

  • Christ-centered, trauma-informed small group communities where women are invited to bring their story before the Lord, lean into the truth of their identity as beloved daughters of God, and encounter the nearness of Christ alongside other women of faith through a 3-month discipleship experience.

  • A guided, workbook-centered framework that equips churches and ministries to facilitate Purpose in the Pain within their own communities, creating spaces where women can walk through their story with Jesus in a Christ-centered environment.

  • We equip leaders through the Purpose in the Pain Certified Facilitator Pathway to hold space for women with a heart posture shaped by the fruits of the Holy Spirit — marked by love, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control, creating environments where women can feel safe and gently invited to bring their story before Jesus.

  • At the core of Purpose in the Pain is Christ-centered reflection, designed through intentional scripture, prompts, and guided exercises designed to help women bring their story before Jesus, explore their identity in Him, and gently begin to see themselves through the truth of who He says they are - beloved daughters.
