ABOUT US
Purpose in the Pain is a Christian ministry that exists to create spaces where women encounter Jesus in the midst of their story.
This ministry was born from a deep desire to walk with women who have experienced sexual abuse - creating space for them to encounter the healing presence of Christ and begin to see their story through the truth of who He is. We do this through guided cohort experiences, partnerships, and Christ-centered reflection.
For many survivors, the questions “Why did this happen?” or “Where was God?” hold weight in our hearts. Purpose in the Pain was created to walk gently with women through those questions—not with pressure to fix or explain the past, but with an invitation to bring their story before Jesus.
Our hope is that every woman who enters this journey will experience the nearness of Christ, rediscover the truth of her identity as a beloved daughter of God, and begin to see that nothing in her story is wasted in His hands.
At the center of this work is a simple belief: Jesus is the purpose.
OUR MISSION
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to create Christ‑centered, trauma‑informed spaces where women encounter the presence of Jesus, rediscover who they are in Him, and move forward with renewed hope in their story, supported by a community grounded in God’s faithfulness.
HOW WE WALK WITH WOMEN
-
Christ-centered, trauma-informed small group communities where women are invited to bring their story before the Lord, rediscover the truth of their identity as beloved daughters of God, and encounter the nearness of Christ alongside other women of faith.
-
A guided, workbook-centered framework that equips churches and ministries to facilitate Purpose in the Pain within their own communities, creating spaces where women can walk through their story with Jesus in a Christ-centered environment.
-
We equip leaders to hold space for women with a heart posture shaped by the fruits of the Holy Spirit — marked by love, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control, creating environments where women can feel safe and gently invited to bring their story before Jesus.
-
Intentional scripture, prompts, and guided exercises designed to help women bring their story before Jesus, explore their identity in Him, and gently begin to see themselves through the truth of who He says they are.

THE VISION AHEAD
We believe this work was never meant to stay in one place.
That it would create a movement where women encounter Jesus in the deepest places of their story.
Not because the pain itself was the purpose…
but because Jesus has always been.
And in His hands, nothing is wasted.
